Tanya D Returns
So all the model freaks at thefashionspot and Fashin will be happy to know Tanya D showed up at Dior today. Love her, so FUN, friendly, effervescent!

Rare Self-Pimping and LOVE
I am usually heavily opposed to self-pimping but I have to make an exception for my *big* cameo over at Modelinia. Nadia, one of the girls who runs the site, caught me backstage and interviewed me! She's incredibly kind.
Check me out at the :20 at 1:23 time frame. Real Cute, right? Work. Work.

Self-Induced Insomnia
As i'm still up, I thought I might as well share one of my favorite things, I guess you could them things.. they are quite extraordinary!
Check out more at the SHOWStudio website
I remember seeing the video above about a year ago, it still stuns me! The video above features model Magdalena Frackowiak turning freneticly while shes consumed by fashion. or maybe she's the one consuming... i'm not sure.. that's your call..
Another SHOWStudio vid is below. This time it features one of model's favorite pastimes - jumping. Unfortunately, Caroline Trentini had to call in sick the day of the shoot. So you'll just have to check out Lily Donaldson hippity hop by her lonesome self.
A picture from the video editorial, featured in V Magazine. I love the work done in postproduction here.

Well, since we are apparently sharing our favorite videos I will have to share one as well. This video features AMAZING model Anja Rubik, twerking and perhaps WERKIN so hard that her heels might break. Shot by Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben this video shows her switching up the beat of the drum for British Vogue. Check it out.

Things You Should Know..
You know a Supreme Girl when you see one!!
Case in point below, Tyra immediately fierced herself into my mind with her self proclaimed 5 finger forehead... But nuh-uh honey, Tyra's been outdone by this poor model at the Rick Owens S/S 2010 Show.
She's rockin a full 7 finger forehead!!

But thankfully, Romana @ Supreme is just playing games with us. Voila, the trickery of great hair and makeup.

I love when Supreme is tapped for the casting of certain shows. They just have all the right girls for that certain, peculiar look..
Look who else decided it might be nice to show up .. Suvi Koponen ... nice to see you ..

Waiting on some highly likely Supreme model exclusives at Givenchy. If not, atleast anticipating a Paris exclusive for Hind from DNA!

that's all

Miranda Kerr's office calling..
Miranda
.. i just turned to Marc and said outloud, is her name Miranda? , that's such a weird name... odd .. back to topic .. Balenciaga S/S 10..

Just look at the picture..

It kills me to say it, but she doesn't look that bad.. Hey, Adriana got the campaign so do your thang girl.
xxD
I'd just like to say that I wish they would have put her in VS wings and had her go down the runway to the sound of Kelis, JUST SAYIN' but I am also not buying that that is her.--xxM

Nina Ricci Spring 2010
So, Peter Copping today was your day. Olivier Theyskens, you're about as out as Uggs (WHICH IS STILL REALLY IN AT FIT, SERIOUS ISSSSSSUUUUEEE).
(David note .. the complexity of the above statement is astounding.. Olivier technically is out yet he still remains revered.. ponder on fashionites)
This season's collection was all ABOUT the ruffle. He did them on just about everything. I mean I'm not sayin' its a bad thing I'm just saying he loves him some ruffles.
The color scheme was very muted until midway through where he started presenting a mixture of pastels, navys and black. In one of our favorite fashion (or fashin WINK WINK GET IT!) forums many readers stated it reminded them of Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 which I cant help but to agree with. Very muted and almost grandmother-ish, I guess dressing like your a fierce 60 year old is the new hot trend. Over all the collection wasn't a huge hit but I think I'm just bitter that the shows weren't the size of small children :(. MAYBE NEXT SEASON!!

David's First Post
I guess it's fitting that my first post is during Paris Fashion Week. Paris Fashion Week is the most exciting of the 4 to me.. It's the most theatrical, cerebral, thought provoking week of this S/S 2010 Fashion month.. I'd also venture to say it might be the most exclusive and luxurious..
Anywho, I guess the stalker/fangirl inside me just knew I couldn't sleep until I saw some Balenciaga. I ended up twitter stalking until 720am, scouring for the few pics editors / writers were taking at the first show for today. @Mrjoezee and @booth1 satisfied my carnal needs.
UNFORUNATELY though, usual twitter stalwart @dizzyblazeberg decided to skip Balenciaga today ... hmm thanks for those tweets... where else am i supposed to get the real low down on the shows??? WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU, WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU..
At first, from the dull, dimly lighted twitpics, I wasn't too happy about the collection.

( both from twitter.com/booth1)
The hooded leather vest first reminded me of some Action/Thriller movie my dad probably tried to get me to watch when I was 13. I then compared it to Rad Hourani and was over it. The second twitpic immediately made me think of Prada F/W 07 with the models blond sideswept hair, cat eye makeup and woolen tweed in a mix of neutral with orange/blue.. very much like that collection. Although, Hanne lurking in the background was certainly Nicolas giving me a sign that this collection wasn't going to quite be like that. He then went on to mix in references from multiple past seasons ending up giving us a rather wearable collection.
xx D
Theres just something about you.

I will never forget this dress in the McQueen Spring 2007 show. It left a haunting impression on me. I think it's because it was the first time I ever picked up a WWD Collections, this puppy was inside. I was so enamored with the fact that something could be so tightly fitted yet flare out like no ones business at the bottom. Favorite collection hands down.
